About us

The Probus Club of Kincumber Inc. was formed on March 27, 1984.  Ted Johnson with the backing of Kincumber Rotary convened the inaugural meeting at the Avoca Bowling Club, two of the foundation members are still members (they are now Life Members).

At our meetings we particularly enjoy each other's friendship and the speakers who cover a wide range of topics.  We also have social outings, bushwalks, golf and theatre parties

Visitors and new members are most welcome at all events.

Our calendar:

• 2nd Tuesday of the month - Social event
• 3rd Tuesday of the month - Bushwalking (March to November).
• 4th Tuesday of the month - Monthly meeting

 Currently we have 63 Members plus 4 Life Members and 1 Honorary Member

Some milestones:

1984 - our first News Sheet was circulated

1988 - the Golf Club began

1990 - the Bowls Club was formed

1991 - the beginning of our Theatre Parties

1991 - the first of our Bushwalks

1992 - Kincumber Probus Card Players had their first night

1993 - the first Central Coast Probus High School Debate final was held (still held at our August meeting)

2002 - a computer skills group was formed

2009 - The Probus Club of Kincumber Inc. voted to become a Mixed Club and invited ladies to join

2011 - our first lady President was elected
